| Summary, etc. | El principito (en franc�es: Le Petit Prince) es una novela corta y la obra m�as famosa del escritor y aviador franc�es Antoine de Saint-Exup�ery (1900-1944). La obra fue publicada en abril de 1943, tanto en ingl�es como en franc�es, por la editorial estadounidense Reynal & Hitchcock, mientras que la editorial francesa �Editions Gallimard no pudo imprimir la obra hasta 1946, tras la liberaci�on de Francia. Incluido entre los mejores libros del siglo XX en Francia, El principito se ha convertido en el libro en franc�es m�as le�ido y m�as traducido. As�i pues, cuenta con traducciones a m�as de doscientos cincuenta idiomas y dialectos, incluyendo al sistema de lectura braille. La obra tambi�en se ha convertido en uno de los libros m�as vendidos de todos los tiempos, puesto que ha logrado vender m�as de 140 millones de copias en todo el mundo, con m�as de un mill�on de ventas por a�no. La novela fue traducida al espa�nol por Bonifacio del Carril y su primera publicaci�on en dicho idioma fue realizada por la editorial argentina Emec�e Editores en septiembre de 1951. Desde entonces, diversos traductores y editoriales han realizado sus propias versiones. |
